Those slippery socks,
they won’t stay on your feet.

You try to pull them off all day
and even in your sleep.

You lost one at the movies
and at the grocery store.

It seems we’re always heading out
to buy a few pairs more.

They disappear so quickly,
they’re on and then they’re gone.

They’re on your feet at bedtime
but gone before the dawn.

You lost one at the local park,
and one while at the mall.

I guess you probably shouldn’t bother
wearing them at all.

You lost one at the Valley Zoo
while playing with the goats.

And one was lost last weekend
while riding in a boat!

A lot have fallen from your feet
to underneath your bed.

A couple even disappeared
while riding in a sled.

Those slippery socks,
whatever will we do?

You’ll have to go barefoot all day
